Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
Depending on your arrival time in Ulaanbaatar. We can transfer you directly to the camp - Genghis Khan Retreat in The Orkhon Valle or if you arrive late in the night then we suggest spending a night in a hotel before transferring to camp. We have special rates for our guests with our partner hotel in Ulaanbaatar. If you arrive late in the night then we suggest spending a night in a hotel in Ulan Bator. We have special rates for our guests with our partner hotels in UB.

Transfer to Camp + Sunset Ride
We drive for 5-6 hours to reach the camp, which is located in the Orkhon National Park. We get a short tour of the camp and get introduced to all the facilities. All the riders get into their allotted gers (Traditional Mongol Yurt). We assemble our bicycles and get ready for a short ride to witness the magical sunset over the valley. If transferred to camp from day one, we enjoy a nice breakfast and go on a beautiful ride in the area.

Exploring The Valley
Exploring surroundings hills of the Orkhon Valley, from technical trails to flowing descents. A convenient shuttle service is available for maximum downhilling. Theres time to do other activities such as kayaking, archery, rock climbing, horse riding and even massages. Enough time to also immerse yourself in the local nomadic culture around camp, often finding yourself riding alongside herders on horseback, a truly unique experience.

60km by The Orkhorn River
The journey kicks off alongside the meandering river, guiding us deeper into the heart of Mongolia's incredible landscapes. We'll traverse canyons carved by ancient forces, vast, rolling steppes as far as the eye can see, and dramatic volcanic terrain, each turn revealing a new, awe-inspiring vista. As the day draws to a close, we'll set up our peaceful camp right by the river's edge.

60km through Örkangai
Another epic 60km ride as we delve deeper into the steppes of the Övörkhangai Province. This leg of the adventure will lead us through vast, open landscapes, occasionally punctuated by ancient volcanic formations that add a dramatic contrast to the rolling plains. We'll eventually discover a truly beautiful, cascading waterfall where we can pause and soak in the natural splendour. Once our exhilarating ride concludes, we'll establish our comfortable tented camp right beside a tranquil stream.

65km Climb to Tövkhön Monastery
Our adventure continues with a climb to the Tövkhön Monastery, an ancient Buddhist sanctuary nestled high in the hills, right on the border of the Övörkhangai Province. This sacred site offers a glimpse into Mongolia's rich spiritual history accompanied with a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. After exploring the monastery's tranquil grounds and peaceful ambiance, we will set up our camp nearby, allowing us to spend a quiet evening in this historic and serene setting.

70km Ride back to Camp
Finally, a scenic ride of approximately 70km will guide us through the rolling steppes, including some refreshing forest trails, bringing our incredible loop to a satisfying close as we arrive back at the Genghis Khan Retreat camp, anticipating a well-deserved rest.

Riding or Activities around Camp
Once we're back at Genghis Khan Retreat, the options are wide open. You can spend time exploring the beautiful camp area on your bike, or for more action, take shuttles to hit those favourite downhill tracks again. Alternatively, for a change of pace, we offer a variety of other activities. Horse riding, kayaking, testing your aim with archery, or simply unwinding with a yoga session or a relaxing massage.
